Toobers and Zots

I had to share a super fun to with everyone that we have for our daycare kids. It's called Toobers and Zots and they are amazing!! I found them last year at Menards for $10. It has been the best $10 I have spent for the daycare. The kid's are obsessed!! They will spend over an hour playing and building with them. Their favorite thing to build with them are hats. We have also made guitars, swords, belts, snakes, etc. They are great for rainy day fun when you can't get outside to run off some energy!!

Grandma's Birthday Party

These are a few pictures from the party. My Grandma turned 82 on June 14th but we weren't able to celebrate her birthday that weekend so we decided to throw her a party on the 27th instead. She had a ball and enjoyed seeing everyone that came to the party. ( My mom also threw the party for Layne as well since his birthday is only a couple of weeks away.)

Mmm...Cake!!

Yesterday my parents threw my grandma a surprise party for her 82nd birthday as well as for Layne. I had made a funfetti cake for dessert and Layne wanted to try some. It was hilarious watching him eat the cake. He loved it so much!!! He also found a new love for lemonade. (He takes after his mom with that one...I'm obsessed with lemonade!!)

Weekend at the Lake

Last Weekend, we made the trip up to Lake Kampeska for the weekend. We had a lot of fun as the weather was a lot warmer than the last time we were there. Layne went on two boat rides as well as wet for a couple of swims in the lake. Matt and I went on a jetski ride and went fishing as well.

Update

Just thought I would add a quick update about what has been going on with us lately!!

• This past weekend Layne got his first tooth!! He also has another one coming in as well!! So exciting!!
• Layne loves to walk around holding on to your fingers. He will pull you all over the place.
• We spent the weekend at the lake. Layne went in the lake for the first time! He wasn't sure if he liked it at first though. Matt and I went fishing and we caught 8 fish! I caught the biggest!!
• Our garden is growing like a weed!! I have a feeling we are going to have so many peppers and tomatoes we are not going to know what to do with them all!!
• This coming weekend we are having a surprise birthday party for my grandma. She turned 82 on June 14th!!
  

We have a busy next couple of weeks ahead of us. Hopefully I will have time to post some pictures because I have a lot to post!!

5 Generations

The day after my cousin Beth's wedding, her sister Cindy had a gift opening for Beth and Jake at her house. We decided to take generation pictures since we had everyone together. Beth and Jake's gift opening was a lot of fun. Layne had a blast playing with Natalie. He LOVED playing with her Elmo LIVE. I have a feeling one of those will be coming to live at our house in the near future!!

Rehearsal Dinner

Friday night we spent time at my cousins church for the Rehearsal Dinner. Layne was the ring bearer in their wedding and I was an usher. Layne did really well going down the aisle. I was scared he was going to cry all the way down. But he didn't. Thank goodness!!

Layne was supposed to go down the aisle in this car however Natalie had problems pushing it so he rode down the aisle in an umbrella stroller.

Pool Fun

This past weekend, we went down to Cedar Rapids, IA for my cousin's wedding. We stayed at the same hotel where the reception was to be held. Layne just absolutely loved the pool!! This is his 2nd time in a pool. The first time didn't go over so well. However he LOVES the pool now! He was kicking and spalshing all over the place. We spent about an hour in the pool. Layne would of loved to have stayed in longer but I didn't want him to turn into a prune.
