Last month about 40-50 miles away from where we live, a terrible tragedy took place. While responding to a check of well-being call, a Deputy Sheriff was shot and killed by a 19 year old boy. This story is just heart wrenching. The Sheriff was 32 years old and left behind a wife and two young kids.
Here are some links to find out more about this sad story:
Besides this very sad story that happened not to far from where we live, there has been two other similar incidents that have happened north of us. In Huron there has been two murders in the last month or so. The first one involved to men. One man was trying to save the other man from committing suicide and instead of killing himself, he killed the guy who was trying to help him. The second one involved some sort of love triangle and in the end a 20 year old girl who was 2 or 3 months pregnant was murdered.
I just don't understand what is with people and thinking that violence is nescessary. It bothers me alot. I don't get how the 19 year old boy who killed the Sheriff thought it was a good idea to shoot and kill that man. What comes across people's minds to make them think that this is okay?? Do they just not think it through or do they lack the common sense to determine between right and wrong??
My heart aches for the wife, kids, and family of the officer who was killed. It just isn't fair. I pray for them to find peace in this awful tragedy.
